We Bring Learning Outside

April has seen the opening of our Outdoor Classroom, much to the delight of all our pupils, busy gardening, painting, constructing exploring, and creating.

We have invested in recycled picnic benches, a large sand pit, a mud kitchen, painting easels, lego, building bricks, gardening equipment, a water play area and 2 tables specifically designed for experimentation and construction.

Young children learn from what they do so seamlessly. We see every day the natural curiosity of young children, their wonder at the world, their instinct to explore the world around them, and their love of the outdoors.

As Early Childhood educational providers, we fully recognise and appreciate the limitless advantages and benefits to outdoor learning from the perspective of physical health, social development, wellbeing and academic achievement. i.e. engaged learning, greater motivation, learning stimulation and development of problem-solving skills.

We look forward to continued development of this area, watching our children learn, grow and develop in this amazing area.
