We held our first monthly Assembly in the ‘halla’ in September. This is an occasion when class groups come together to celebrate our school, our community, our Catholic ethos and our diversity. It involves conversation and singing, based on our religious programme, ‘Grow in Love’.
This month the Senior Infants celebrated the theme ‘Thank You God for our World’. We spoke about nature, the fish, the birds, mountains, valleys, flowers, sky, stars and sun. The Senior Infants song this song which captures the message beautifully.
It was a new experience for our Junior Infants but they were wonderful. Their theme was ‘I have a Name’, and they bowed proudly as their names were called out, recognising how special they are, in their families, their school and their community.
