In Scoil Iosagáin we place a lot of emphasis on out-door learning and physical activity. Some lovely weather gave us a great opportunity to spend a lot of time in our outdoor classroom as well as engaging in lots of outdoor fun activities and games.
We started hurling training with our brilliant coach Esther. The children really enjoy their sessions with Esther and their ground hurling skills were really impressive.
We welcomed summer as we watched our flowers bloom and the pupils took care to water them. We also put flowers on our May Altar as we celebrated Mary during the month of May.
We were very busy with our Aistear theme – The Circus.
We had our own classroom circus where children performed great juggling tricks, their skills with Hula Hoops and balancing. We constructed a Big Top with Junk Art.
May was a very active, outdoor month in Scoil Iosagáin.
