Sensori Handwriting Programme

This January our Junior Infant Classes started their Sensori Handwriting Programme. This will last for 16 weeks. It involves all children developing their Gross motor, Fine motor and Visual Perception skills.

They also practice the formation of the new letter each week. We are very excited by this approach to handwriting. The structure of the programme was devised by Dr. Sinead Mc Cauley Lambe. Teachers in our school attended one of her Summer Courses where the importance of Gross and Fine Motor skills for handwriting was discussed.

Our children are having lots of fun in their stations and strengthening their muscles and skills in the process. Looking forward to lots of writing over the coming months.
