We were delighted to welcome Kayleigh and Dex to our school recently. Kayleigh is a Veterinary Nurse with the Acorn Veterinary Practice in Mallow. Kayleigh and Dex visited the classrooms and met with the children in our school. It was such an exciting time in our school.
While Kayleigh answered many questions from the children about the life of a vet and working in a veterinary practice, Dex was the star of the show. He was so patient with the children and loved being rubbed and taken for a walk by the children. This month our children were looking at the topic The Vet.
In Aistear, children set up Veterinary Practices and explored the world of the Veterinary life through play. Kayleigh was such a fountain of knowledge and children really enjoyed asking her questions.
We really appreciated Kayleigh taking the time to visit with us. Her kindness and patience was lovely to see with all our children. Thank you Kayleigh, Dex and Acorn Veterinary Practice.
