Seachtain Na Gaeilge was great fun in Scoil Íosagáin this year. Ms. Kelly taught all the classes some Irish dancing. We all got in line and partook in a two hand reel. It was amazing to see all the Juniors and Seniors join in and enjoy some of our traditional dance. We had a wonderful Lá Glas celebration on the 16th of March.

All our children wore green. The hallways were festooned with green, white and gold art work from the children. We also had a wonderful assembly in the halla. Each class got the opportunity to share their favourite poem and song as gaeilge. It was lovely to see our young students confidently singing in Irish.

Children were busy using their phrases during the week in Irish and also got to watch cartoon as gaeilge during their lunch times. It was finished off with our very own parade of the classes through the school waving flags and singing Lá Fhéile Padráig. A lovely week of craic and ceol and we look forward to it again next year.
