We have been very busy in Scoil Íosagain over the last few weeks participating in our readathon to help raise money for our outdoor classroom and sensory garden.
All the children have been busy reading books and clocking up the time in their classrooms. Senior infants went to the junior classrooms and read books to the junior infants.
It was lovely to see the engagement between the children around the stories in their hands. The seniors were just so kind to our junior children. Other children brought in teddies and read to their teddies in class.
You can imagine the excitement at bringing your favourite teddy to school to partake in this reading fun. Reading was alive and exciting for all children. Lovely messages of well wishes and support were left for the children by the people who supported the readathon.
