December was a magical time in Scoil Iosagáin. The school reverberated with Christmas songs and an air of joy and celebration. The 6th class pupils from the Convent Primary School, dressed as elves, treated our pupils to hot chocolate and cookies as a surprise. The children loved engaging with ‘the elves’ and the Christmas sing – a- long.
Santa also made a surprise visit. This is now a traditional visit, supported by Mallow Guards, which raises much-needed funds for Temple Children’s Hospital. We wish to thank all parents and Guardians who kindly supported this appeal, and to the Parents’ Association who provided a little gift for each child.
The high-light of the month was the Nativity Plays, by our Senior Infants and the Christmas Sing – a – Long in our Junior Infant classrooms. Parents, grandparents and guardians enjoyed seeing our young pupils perform for their audience. We are so proud of them.
We also raised some money while Carol Singing at our local Maxol. We wish to thank all those who kindly donated to our school and expressed their appreciation in sending treats for our pupils.
