National Bike Week took place last week from the 13th to the 21st of May. This National Event looked to increase awareness of safety expertise and use of bikes. 

 On Tuesday the 14th of May we celebrated Bike Day in our school. Children from Senior Infants brought in their bikes, scooters and helmets for use throughout the day. All children in our school, then got the chance to cycle around the yard and partake in activities. 

Great fun was had doing the limbo under the rope on their bikes. Children also had to cycle on their bikes and place objects into the collection bin. Thank you to Mrs. Murphy and to Mrs. Kelly for their wonderful work in both preparing and running the day for us.

 Children had so much fun cycling in school. Thanks also to the parents who sent in bikes, scooters and helmets. There was a great atmosphere and lots of excitement. Thank you to all involved.
