We had a fun packed month in Scoil Iosagáin, enjoyed by all.
Our Sports Day was a great success. The highlight of the day was the ‘Tug of War’, with Esther our GAA coach. She also organised a staff ‘Tug of War’ which was a huge hit with the pupils.
We also had ‘Bike Day’, an annual event supporting bike skills and bike safety. Children cycled round cones, braked at sound of whistle, as well as other fun activities. Many thanks to our teachers Mary Anne and Karina who organise this event each year.
School tours took place, amid great excitement, particularly in relation to the bus ride with their friends! Our Junior Infants visited Planet Play Centre in Cork City while Senior Infants visited Grenagh Farm and Activity Centre.
Our Integrated Play Theme for June was Summertime. Children had great fun with the Airport theme. They built airport towers and set up their own aeroplane in class, with crew and passengers. Some delicious ice creams were created in Art & Crafts!
We had a bitter/sweet moment as we held our Senior Infant Graduation Ceremony. They were an amazing bunch. From all the school community we wish them every happiness and success as they progress to senior school.
