This year we have been honoured to receive a grant of almost €4,000 from the Irish American Partnership to fund the purchasing of readers for our reading initiatives in our school.
This grant allowed us to buy levelled readers that are used in Senior Infants to allow for differentiated reading. With this investment, each group can have up to 6 children in the group.
The money enabled us to give each child in the group the same book. We are so grateful to the Partnership for sponsoring us. Books have now been covered to protect them during use and are in use in all three senior infant classes.
It has aided significantly in the roll out of our differentiated literacy programme. This funding had a great impact in our school and the whole school community is extremely grateful to all concerned. Thank you.
